DEAR CHILDREN, FROM LITTLE TO GROWN BY RUKAYYA ZIRAPUR

Image
Reading Dear Children felt like sitting down with a cup of tea and having an honest conversation about life. The tone is calm, encouraging, and full of warmth. I loved how the author didn’t use complicated ideas — instead, she wrote straight from the heart. This book teaches not just children but even adults to pause and think — am I really living the right way? Am I being kind enough, grateful enough? It made me reflect on how we grow up so fast, forgetting the innocence and mindfulness we once had as kids. I’d say it’s a perfect read for parents, teachers, or anyone who wants to remind themselves (or others) about the small but powerful values of life. This book truly feels like a mirror — gentle, wise, and full of love. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 ✨ Best for: Teens, young readers, parents, and anyone looking for simple wisdom and emotional comfort. 💭 Favorite takeaway: “Growing up doesn’t mean losing your heart — it means learning to protect it better.” Book Summary —  Dear Children ...

Despite being seen as unlucky by others, he sets out alone into the Gulf Stream, determined to prove his skill and strength one more time. Far out at sea, Santiago hooks a giant marlin, the biggest fish he has ever seen. For three long days and nights, he struggles with the fish, enduring hunger, exhaustion, and pain. Santiago respects the marlin deeply, seeing it as a noble rival. Finally, he manages to harpoon and kill it, lashing the massive fish to his small skiff. But Santiago’s triumph is short-lived. On the way back, sharks attack the marlin, tearing it apart despite his desperate fight to defend it. By the time Santiago returns to shore, only the marlin’s skeleton remains. Though he has lost the prize, Santiago regains the respect of the villagers, and especially the loyalty of the boy, Manolin, who vows to fish with him again. The novel is written in simple, ...

The Kite runner

Image
Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner is a deeply emotional novel that explores friendship, loyalty, and the heavy weight of past mistakes. Set against the shifting political landscape of Afghanistan and the immigrant experience in America, it follows one man’s journey to confront his childhood and seek personal redemption. With vivid storytelling, relatable characters, and the symbolic beauty of kite flying woven throughout, the book captures both the warmth of human connection and the pain of loss. It is a moving, unforgettable read that lingers long after the final page.

There are two aspects to the book- one is the simple story of the reunion and the second parallel one is the narration by the spirit of dystopia that takes on the psychology of the growing up years.  *𝕭𝖑𝖚𝖗𝖇* How was your journey in Dystopia? Was it full of joy, freedom, rebellion, anger, shame or guilt? Children start their travels from the blissful kingdom of Shambala, a beautiful land, where they are protected and taken care of.
